The Classic Water City
Next on the must-see list of Italy was Venice. For pure wow factor alone, this may be one of my all time favorite cities. The island portion of Venice is truly fascinating with no motor vehicles or really even bicycles, because anything with wheels would need to navigate a veritable maze of waterways, bridges, and stairs. Murano Island: Meh!

Pietro had lots of jokes to tell as he led us into the area where the glass masters were at work making chandelier parts. He told us about the master craftsmen and the designs that have been made at the factory for centuries. ...
