    ... particular was delirious with an hour still to go, but I think that has more to do with her being very, very tired and being too young to be able to let herself sleep on the train. But I find it a welcome rest time. So, to our arrival in Venice. We got off the train to sunshine and we were warm (had got very warm on the train).     ... the last minute decision to retreat back to the coffee shop, where we stood in the doorway dripping water onto the nice floor. I ordered a cup of tea and Jess ordered some small sweet to apologise. Almost as quickly as the storm had arrived, it cleared, which meant that I could walk (and Jess could skate) back to the bike. The helmets were a bit wet and yucky on the inside, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, and with a bit of luck our clothes will dry out ...

    ... It's pretty cool. The pictures do more justice than me explaining them.

    At the piazza there are many restaurants trying to get tourists to go eat there. There are also live bands playing while you eat. We saw this old couple dancing romantically like there is no one else looking. It was so cute! I had to take a picture of them.

    ... of da vinci sketches. I feel I've been lacking in Leonardo so far so this was great. Some were tiny drawings of half a horse on a scrap of paper that had drawings on the reverse also. I don't know if da vinci had pockets but if he did I can imagine that would be where he kept these notes. The exhibition also had THE Vitruvian man drawing. Amazing. He also had repeated and detailed sketches ...

    Internet outYesterday (Tuesday) was a day to catch up on sleep and get back on a routine.We all slept in, went down for breakfast at our hotel. We had the best croissants we have ever tasted!
