... walk around the city we had an hour on own to do more exploring but not enough time to walk the wall with its 425 steps that I did with Pat. Again it was about 38' so I wasn't disappointed. Had a great ice cream in the town where the locals buy & it was one of the best I have had. Did some more shopping at the little stalls along the dock, buffet restaurant on board for dinner before going to the extravaganza show in the Stardust Theatre. ...

... had to leave it at 6am the following morning. Although, we did enjoy it for the limited time we were there. * A ride in a gondola, fortunately it didn't sink with all five of us in it. Mimma was a chauffeur and guide, went to Mass with us, took us up to Majjorie , Sylvia provided a beautiful home ...

So we had a sleep in and a bit of a lazy morning until the rain stopped, then we headed into Venice. It was humid, but we were pretty lucky with the warm but not too hot weather. We wandered all over the city, seeing even more than we did the day before. We tried gelato and wow, the strawberry was maybe the best I've ever ...

We have spent the last two days in the area of the Dolomites. Yesterday in Ortizei we had a relaxing day of massages, facials and swimming. The weather was perfect and we walked through the beautiful little town. We heard a great deal of German being spoken since we are only 30 miles from the Austrian border. The food is a mixture of Italian and German. The hotel, Anglo Angel, was very nice and ...
