... dinner a little bit earlier about 6pm as the walk back to Tubotel is quite dark and taxis are really expensive. We found a small restaurant on the Chang beach road. It did North Indian food. ... Lupa as it the same size as a VW Lupo, which is the car I drive at home, but in a million times worse condition.
Even in third gear this lovely car couldn't drive up hill and when changing gear it was soooo loud.
It still played cassette tapes, had no air con, well it did but it didn't really work and my seat must have been eaten my mosquitos ha ha.
But Lupa got us around and was cheaper than a bag of chips....:)

... and it was painted in Nok Air colours! Nok Air was the airline we flew with when we flew from Bangkok to Krabi, they're kind of Thailand's answer to Jet2 and all their planes have a kind of smiley mouth painted on the nose... The boat was the same, although it's mouth wasn't really smiling, haha! ... following day remaining and that could turn out even worse so in the end we decided to go for it.

A taxi from the main strip cost 30RM (6) and that took about 20 to 25 minutes. There is no public transport on the island so the choices are either taxis or renting a car or scooter. There are several taxi stands along the main road so it couldn't be simpler.

... somewhat amused when it was like it was the first time you asked! Attempted to put Amelia to sleep (absolutely no luck) and an almost catastrophe, won't go into that here, we headed down for tea.
