... and had heard about the animal shelter through a friend. The first couple of days she helped as all the volunteers do by walking and feeding the dogs but became quickly bored of the canine population. Whenever I have volunteered I have always done what is asked of me as the shelter has been running a lot of years now and those that own and run it have obviously got the place set up the way they want it, and their system works as the shelter has ...

This is where you would normally do the sky bridge walk, unfortunately this was closed due to maintenance and looked as though it will be for some time. After taking full advantage of the views we headed back down, which felt a lot stepper than on the way up and you appear to move a little bit faster. All in all ...

... on steroids. Regardless, it was cool to see the birds cycle around and snatch the fish from the water with their talons.
After that we stopped at a beach which was again, nothing short of beautiful. Pictures do it better justice. White sand, pretty coral, light blue water, and the ocean at a perfect bath water temp.

We had befriended the other couples on the boat tour with us. One of our new friends, Jerry from Shanghai, showed me a fresh ...
