Migraine day. Slept in the cabin until there was only enough time left to go out to Kos, hurry to the beach ans have a dip, go back again. There was dance music and bars at the beach. On the way there we passed hundreds of shops. It was boring. I don't mind not having had more time on Kos. Except for the fact you can rent a bike there. That might have taken us far ...

... that kind, are sure to be green with envy. They will be like: boy, what did I miss out on. Yeah! Bosses will want to hire you. You will be beaming with success and happiness. Everybody touched the sponge. No one could see the effect though, because we have no wi-fi. Later the cleaning crew were crawling on the ground. Some great examples given especially in the aircraft world where things are investigated very thoroughly indeed. Lunch was had back on the boat, usual fare spiced up with Tuna and Stuffed Vine Leaves. Yummy. Then back to the beach for some more sun therapy. I note with some glee that the weather in the The UK is ...

Setting off into 22 knots of wind. Oh dear. Some anxiety as the upwind journey is at least 12 miles. However!! Within 20 mins of leaving the harbour we were in 7-11 knot winds and making good progress with the auto helm on travelling due west. We flirted with the sails, in, out, in, out eventually just the main and engine. Rounding the Knidos headland we were now down wind so ...

Another day another sail. This time around 18 nautical miles on a supposed beam reach back down the Datça peninsular. As yesterday high winds were forecast so we set off early. To begin with the wind was all over the place but eventually settled and we were close hauled ( again ). The wind was up and down as were our sails. Eventually it settled into a nice 22-25 knot wind. The entry into the harbour was quite exciting. For one ...
