... earthquake made the wells salty. It must have been very inaccessible, although has two natural harbours back to back so shelter would never have been a problem. We have useful fans on the boat. We gave ourselves plenty of time to find out where our ferry would actual be, providing it actually existed! Turns out it did exist and by 9.30 we were setting sail, well less sail and more chugging as it was a massive ferry, with plenty of room...so who knows what the American was talking about!! Only an hour and a half away from Akyaka, so perfect for a day trip. As Zeki couldn't start work yet because he will do the second half of his Anatolia trip, it was a perfect opportunity for some trips. On the way there, some soldiers stopped the bus to check everyone's ID. It was the first time that a Turkish soldier had checked my ID so I was terrified, but they let me pass!
