The walk wasn't so difficult but it might make a difference later in the day when we needed the energy to get us to the summit.

It was only $6000 more and less hassle. There is an artisan market right next to the bus terminal so I looked around and bought a handmade beanie from an old lady. I walked back into town and book into an astronomy tour for that night. I chilled out for the rest of the day and had Chilaen bbq pork for lunch. It tasted ...

... We were told to put on all our remaining layers but it was so difficult. Everything I did felt unbearably slow, I couldn't feel my hands and so zipping up my jacket was virtually impossible and I became colder and colder and more and more mildly panicked and irrational. The guides came to my rescue and gave me one of their down jackets, zipped me up and gave me a hot sweet drink. After that I was like a thawing ice queen recovering ...
