    ... there had been a derailment the previous night and that our journey was cancelled because nobody knew exactly when the raiway would be fixed.. We will be refunded but we need to decide fast what we will do next. We look at different possibilities of going to Ayers Rock but none works for us.     ... In Burra I only found 1 hotel that appeared to be open, I checked in, paid $50 for just one night, dropped my bags of, turned the heater on, and went to the bar (in-house) to get myself a few beers.

    So we headed off from Adelaide via Sydney to Christchurch. After a transfer at Sydney (which included a rather long bus ride from the domestic terminal to the international terminal) we arrived at Christchurch around one o'clock in the morning.
