... m'ha convidat a jugar per la tarde, i em anat a una finca d'un amic on tenen un petit camp de futbol, una mica més gran que un camp de futbol sala pero més petit que un de futbol 7. Erem molts i em fet 3 equips i anavem rotant. No em fet com aqui, que el que guanya es queda, jugavem 2 partits i descansavem 1. Quan s'ha acabat el partit, m'han portat cap a casa, he arribat una mica tard, per ...

San Juan, Argentina rbuil... you photos of the encasing of a newly discovered fossil in an aluminium foil and plaster parcel on-site. Then it had an actual example of a package as it would be when it arrived. Then bit my bit it showed the gradual process of identifying and lifting out each little piece of ´bone´ and cleaning it up. There was even a man there with something like a little dremel, sanding back a tiny piece of what looked like a fossilized vertebrae. As a ...
San Juan, Argentina rebecca.rose... was just a town and so opted for the dirt road too. I was not disappointed as, a few kilometres north of Uspallata we turned off the paved road, let some air out of our tyres to increase their grip and stability on the loose gravel and hit the track. My bike coped well with the gravel and the riding requires control not dissimilar to skiing. The 'WanderLust World Map' I had downloaded into my GPS gave excellent detail and supplemented my paper map well. We rode for about four ...
San Juan, Argentina pauljleeA quick night stop in a place called San Juan and we headed toward Rodeo. Nothing had prepared us for the magnitude of the mountain ranges and unlikely positioning of the Cuesta del Vento reservoir residing next to the dormant town. A blue lake surrounded by the Andes plains and lunar landscape as far as the eye could see!! Booked into a really friendly ...
San Juan, Argentina srabbiosiOur roommates alarm went off at 6:10 - yep, we are in a dorm again, where are we? It could be described as "the middle of nowhere", how did we get here? Matt wanted to see some Dinosaurs.... We left Mendoza on an 11 am bus to San Juan where we were to connect with another bus headed for Valle de la Luna (I think translated this equates to Valley of the moon). Everything went smoothly and we arrived at 6pm into a tiny little village with one tourist ...
Valle de La Luna, Argentina matnkatMon 18 Feb We had a couple of thunder storms when in Mendoza and noticed on the 2hr journey up to San Juan that there was flooding on either side of the road. It´s amazingly flat landscape so the water doesn´t drain very quickly. We arrived at the bus station at about 2pm and walked outside to see which street we were on to get our bearings. A guy came up to us, giving us a leaflet for a hostel which sounded good and turned out to be run by a tour company we had tried to contact ...
San Juan, Argentina paul_lucy... amount of wine whose number I forgot. I due remember that on the inauguration of the cask however the owner through a dinner party inside it with 80 of his closest friends. I also zoomed through some nearby badlands that surrounded an alpine blue manmade Ullum Dique that was great for a day of swimming and hiking. With the beginnings of a nice tan I hitched my way back into town and prepared the leg of my next journey, a night bus up to the northern Argentine city of Salta.
San Juan, Argentina itsbob21... it out. The lab was fun, as it was in Salta. Only Silvia and Stella took the exam. Paola wasn't eligible since she is an undergraduate in a graduate course. Wilco is a senior professor and doesn't really need the credit! After it was over, I graded them and then had Mirta print out the certificates so I could sign them. It was the shortest tizzy I had experienced with her. It felt great to be all done with it! Patricia came in and we ...
San Juan, Argentina magellanic... Moroco on the corner of Libertador and Tucumán for dinner. It was stuffy inside so we ate outside in the sidewalk café. It was much nicer, in spite of the heat and loud noise of the traffic. I had a lomito and Elena had a long hot dog. Although she said it was good, she wisely chose not to eat more than a third of it. Just before we left, a little girl, who was no older than 6 or 7, came up and tried to sell us a little ...
