I've made it to the Middle East! I got a surprise on my flight to Montreal when I discovered I had a "plus" seat with extra leg room. I don't think I paid anything extra but I wasn't going to question it. When I arrived in Montreal an efficient Qatar Airlines rep met a few of us at the gate to take us on a brisk walk to the Qatar Airlines counter to ensure our bags would be passed along to our final destinations.
