... as the steering at the front end has failed and manoeuvrability has been seriously impeded. They really did a great job though and she came out millimetre by millimetre without a scratch being put on her. There are a few scratches and marks on the yacht, nothing serious though. Most of these were caused by flying debris but a couple were from the other yachts being pushed up onto her. Mind you, considering the damage to many other Cats and Yachts from being knocked off their stands ...
... fall of one hundred and fifty miles per hour to only twelve. And that would take about six seconds. Yowch! Then we would be flying the wing nearly horizontally. Well! Was I happy to see the wing above us. I felt like letting out a huge shout for joy.
“Here..... take ze lines and fly us. Pull this to go left, and zis to go right.”
And there I was; soaring like an eagle in the sky. Going left... going right...... heading
straight forward..... just ...
After a hearty breakfast and some power shopping we checked out of our hotel and boarded the Seabourn Spirit, A slightly younger denographic since the last time we travelled with Seabourn however there was more botox and the odd hair piece per square inch since last time, making us feel somewhat older regardless of what the birth certificates actually say.
Invited to dinner at the Assistant ...
Yesterday evening (Monday) was a mixture of good, bad and odd.
The "good" was the Alladin show which was absolutely terrific. It was a version of the Disney cartoon and it ripped along brilliantly, and some of the special effects were jaw droppingly clever, particularly the magic carpet ride. The audience was, as you'd expect, made up of families, and bored, writhing, screaming kids spoilt it a bit, but many of those were torn out of the theatre by their parents leaving us ...
... though, that it did look really good and was quite tempting. The music was loud..... and when I say loud, I mean ear shattering loud. We sat outside the enormous marquee well away from the loud speakers watching the revelers dancing inside, and it looked like lots of fun. So there
were also many activities going on outside as well. First came the angels; who were preaching about not drinking and driving. They might as well have been talking to a brick wall for all ...
