We went for a wonder after dinner along the Bricktown Canal and watched the ducks swimming about.
We could hear a local band playing and the atmosphere was so good. A million miles from the feeling we had in St. Louis.
We strolled past HOOTERS. We didn't go in. I've got my own bad boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our bed was calling and so we went back to the hotel and turned in for the night!!
... a fat kid on..... Well eggs and bacon! I had toasted bagels, and treated myself to a waffle. I tried to eat it all, but it was just SO much!!! We checked out and set off in the Mustang. ... no more!!!!! We stopped at a few little places along the way, but we are all disappointed in the so called "highlights" of Route 66! Mostly they are old servos or motels with broken signs etc and maybe a shop selling junk momentos! I was on a southbound hwy so I figured it would all work out in the end. I had driven out of the
rain and it was quite hot so I stopped at a gas station in the obscure town of Rich Hill for a beverage and a map check. Rich Hill was at a crossroads of two routes called 'A' & 'B'.
