    Back in Britain

Hi everyone, I arrived back in the UK yesterday after a very long journey about 26 hours total - fortunately I didn't feel too bad after it, just a little tired! I've had an amazing trip, thanks for reading the blog, it's been nice knowing that people have been keeping up with what I've been doing whilst I've been on my adventures. Even whilst I've been travelling I've planned a few more trips - I've well and truly caught the "travel bug"! I hope to see you all soon and show you the ...

Lovely sunshine and great views. Couldn't have been better! The advantages of staying at a dairy farm B&B is that they don't turn a hair when you ask for breakfast at 7am. She has been away for three weeks working on a community project in a remote village. Other than her call to Rob on his birthday, we have not heard from her. It was great to hear her news, however briefly. We then set off into the rain. Initially our route was along an old railway line, now ...

... to get a refund from the travel agent, Brendan Vacations. The Thistle did try and help us by calling Brendan Vacations but NY, Australia and somewhere else were all closed on Sunday. Something was fishy, we ordered and paid for first class rooms but as the trip progressed they were anything but. So we asked our travel agent Go Travel to give us a detailed breakdown of all charges for our trip and the cost of each hotel. More to ...

Summary of Day 2: Distance cycled: 72.4 miles Riding time: 5 hrs 12 mins Avg. Speed: 13.90 mph Elevation climbed: 6463 feet Notes: After the 11% hill at start of the day (which was more) we decided against riding through middle of Dartmoor but still had a decent amount of climbing :) Another County ticked off (so far): Cornwall Devon Somerset (ended the day ...
