Deer Lodge (Lodge Room) Lake Louise

Am Morgen sind wir noch vor den ersten Besuchermassen zum Fort Steele gefahren. ... How was the water so blue? It was so beautiful! I could have stared at that lake for hours, maybe even days. We ate lunch at the Fairmont Château Lake Louise. Hi Folks! We had a picturesque cycle from Cranbrook through Kimberley to Wasa, where we swam in the lovely warm lake. It was so tranquil. Next day we had a 70 mile cycle up the Columbia Valley, from Canal Flats through Fairmont and Windermere to Radium Hot Springs. Fantastic scenery and no big climbs. We both slept very well in our comfortable, quite soft, King sized bed and were happy to have a reasonably early breakfast. Our room is on a floor with its own lounge, which we can use. They serve a delicious buffet breakfast, including omelettes cooked to order. During the day we can help ...

... she kept saying that the tent was not going to be there when we got out of the bathroom to go to bed. Good thing I pegged it in really well. I have never seen so much rain in my life. There was a puddle of water around each of the tents and so much lightning and thunder. Aparently we were lucky some other sites got hail as well! All that rain meant that Kicking Horse River was going off! They had to close the lower canyon for any water rafting cause you had a 50/50 chance of dying ...
