We un-packed and re-packed the Outback at the Las Cruces campsite, then headed north for Silver City, NM, passing some larger-than-life characters (see pics), a cow in the middle of the road (see pic), and a ghost town (un-photographable, as ghosts are).

We arrived at Silver City (copper mining town....see pic) shortly before lunch, where we found a local food co-op and Holly snagged a curry tofu ...

... it to its former glory days. It was cute and unique. We got up and had breakfast with a fellow border at 6ish and actually started our ride at 8. Honestly, thinking that we did not want to be passed up by the old folks. There was construction on the road to Lordsberg NM. ... place to be free a long way from work. See the view of Mt Graham as you walk around the lake, the view is also nice from the hot tub. Even if your only down for the day come in at 6:00 a.m. till 10:00 p.m. you can't beat all this park has to offer for the price. The only thing bring drinking water.
