... out and about sightseeing. It's a good place to relax so I took some time out and sat by the pool, went to the movies and just did a bit of nothing, which I soooo appreciated. It's also a good place to party, which I didn't do any of (I know, a bit unlike me!). My hotel, The Mondrian, was nice and situated right on Biscayne Bay as opposed to on Collins Ave, which is the main street across from the beach ...

... traffic was terrible, but we had left plenty of time so no problem. 6 ships in the port today and we were 2nd to leave. The traditional sound off as we left and then out on to the Atlantic, hang a right past Miami and the Florida Keys towards Grand Cayman. We spent the evening watching a movie under the stars, the atmosphere and the experience is truly amazing. The staff come around with popcorn and cookies & cream whilst we watch a ...

... of a noisy building site next door. We could just see the sea at the end of the block from our balcony. No wonder this room was available early, I don't think I'm gonna wanna hang about in it too long either with that view ! I just closed the curtains to block it out. We did later ask if there was any chance of moving to the quieter pool side view, being our 25th anniversary trip, but mr slow mo got defensive saying he doesn't assign the rooms & that was what we had ...
