Short and busy 12 day trip for my 2 week vacation in third year of residency. Initially decided to visit sister in SFO but since it's been 4 years she visited India, we both planned to visit at the same time, co-incidentally for Pranav's 5th birthday. ... about it and this is just the first day. The professor had already asked the class to visit a slum and then report back observations about it. We then discussed communication and how it affects social change ( hence the name of the class) which for me is something I have never thought about before. Not in the context of media. This was really cool for me because I felt like this opened my eyes to something and I wouldn't have experienced it if I didn't come here and ...

... we first started supporting the home, Mannu and Pintu are both very keen volleyball players and play for their school and their district. When Pintu was 5 he and his brother lived on the streets and were forced to beg by his step father who used to beat him and burnt his hands. He was tied up at night to stop him running away. The police caught the brothers begging at the railway station and Bhaskar took them in to the home. Pintu is now 16 and has plans ...
