The first day and 500 miles behind us. The objective was to get past Dallas and I'm glad I did. We ended up at a roadside campground that I was able to pull right in and leave the car hitched. Just plugged in, turned on the A/C and hit the bed.
The travel has been good so far. Texas roads are a bit worse than Louisiana but traveling through Dallas is not for a novice especially in motorhome.
Looking forward to New Mexico. The planned stop is a town called Santa Rosa.
I had a conference in Dallas to attend as I needed to obtain some yearly certifications. I thought it might be good to take a couple of extra days and go to see some family stuff.

... We left the lot with Jeremiah to help him with grocery shopping and to grab a few necessities for us, but that was the only responsible thing I did all day. It was lovely!
We have another day off tomorrow and then we jump for Krum, Texas and get back into the swing of things with shows everyday. But for now, I'll enjoy a little down time. Thank you so much for all of the birthday greetings and messages of love...they made me smile all day long.
On the shuttle to the Rome Airport at 6:00 a.m.(that's 10:00 p.m.CST Thursday) for an 8 a.m. flight to Madrid. The flight from DFW to Madrid left only an hour late Thursday night, so our 1:00 p.m. flight from Madrid to DFW was only an hour late taking off and that included removing overweight cargo and burning off fuel.
