Spring has sprung in Denton. The trees are leafing up, roses are blooming and wildfowers and birds are everywhere. I walked into Denton this morning, about 2.6km. On the way I found a little piece of Tibet. It is a yoga place so I will be going back there for at least one class, just for the atmosphere. I didn't stop to get another chilli coffee as the café was crowded, so that will be on the list for Monday and Tuesday.... Along the way I happened on 'Sleeping ...

... shoes. There are 2nd hand shops where I could spend all day. Oh wow and I would love to buy loads of stuff and freight home. The UNT (University of North Texas) has an outreach gallery on the square and there is live music for free on Thursday evenings. Tonight is Classical guitar then Jazz vocals. Breakfast at a Tex Mex Place called loco cafe. Excellent intro to Texas with a big black Wrangler Jeep parked right outside. I am addicted to the coffee... already; laced with chilli it left that warm afterglow at the back of the throat after the initial intensity of the coffee. We turned breakfast into brunch with an "overachiever" each of eggs, bacon, potatoes, tomatoes, cheese and sour cream. At home there are squirrels in the ...

... cars, and there was no room at the Inn! After 1 1/2 hours of waiting and constant prayer, there was a taxi dropping off a family upstairs at departures. In we jumped for a slow, slippery, bumpy ride to Westlake. This taxi driver was a saint! He was supposed to be going to Downtown Dallas to pick up friends at the bus station and Thanks Be to God, he drove us home. 24 hours later we are home, dry and warm.

... Emirates seems fairly relaxed about it, despite the fact that ours was one of the only blinds open at the time and was flooding the cabin with no small amount of light! The view, however, was simply stunning. We were, at that point, heading pretty close to the North Pole.
