A quick update so those family members that have been holding their breath for 2 weeks can take a deep one - we arrived home at 1am this morning.
No cause for alarm - on Wednesday we'd crossed the Julian Alps and were heading for the Dolomites when the rain started again. We decided crossing lots of high passes in the rain would be dangerous/unfun, so turned for home. (Truth be ...
... the Palace and admire the intricate craftsmanship on the walls, ceilings, and chandaliers. The hightlight was the Royal Ballroom, which was set up for a State Dinner.Words can't justly describe the extravagance of the place settings. And to top off my day of culture another flat mate (from Penn State) and two of the girls from above (Stetson and Tulsa) attended Proms in the Park with the Royal Philharmonic at a festival in Hackney, which is a few tube stops ...
London, England, United Kingdom justinsaar... bus but decided walking would be more entertaining as we would get to see some of the town. After being baffled by countless little things that are different we saw a double decker buss coming. So Aimee grabbed her camera to snap a picture. The bus driver saw us standing there camera ready and actually opened his window and gave a smile and wave for the camera. Not that we were obviously tourists or anything standing there pointing a camera at a bus. We ...

This flight was supposed to have left around 7pm or so, and was also delayed. The woman got off the phone, and said, "They have room. If you hurry, you can make it." I asked which way, and then even thought I had been awake for more than 22 hours and was tired, I RAN to the next gate. They said, "Oh, here you are. You were ...

London, United Kingdom zalazala... t help it) of various necropolises. Incredible that we came for the beach but are immersed in history dating to 200 BC. Anyway, the final breath-robber is that the trail opened up to the vividly turquoise Mediterranean studded with shark-tooth rock formations. The following 2 days can be described as the most amphibious of my life. Warm, translucent waters. Cliff-jumping beneath 2000 year old toppled roman watchposts. Retreating to our ...
London, United Kingdom boonezz... was amazing. Our plane actually headed south out of Calgary so I had a wonderful view of the mountains and of the city. Watford, United Kingdom jamboskeltyThese are just a bunch of pictures from my flatmate Shazza's going away. Shazza had enough and decided to go back to Australia, and we've missed her terribly ever since. She teased us and we thought she was going to come back, but apparently she's found a good reliable fridge and would rather pull hick australian guys than jug-earred bad toothed english guys. Love you Shazza!
