... the Canadian Support Unit in Geilenkirchen. Dan and I served together in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia back in the mid-90s.

... and lunchless. Eight miles later we arrived at the Oirschot campsite at our lunchtime (2pm) to find that the site was technically closed. However, the "babysitters" were summoned by intercom and after some mis-communication they let us in for €18. It's a smallish but well-organised Dutch site. We're parked adjacent to a pitch that is covered in acorns. I imagine staying overnight there would be a noisy experience. After lunch ...

Friday morning is disembarkation time and depending on your flight arrangements or other itinerary, people begin leaving the ship as early as 4:00 a.m. We had our final breakfast of the week with Dave and Ceil as they were heading the the airport for their trip back to Philadelphia. ... we were all knackered and starving! We stayed in an Eden VIP Villa in Centerparcs at De Kempervennen, just outside town. The villa was fantastic, with 3 double bedrooms with bathrooms, large kitchen and sitting area with TV, sound system, and log fire. Outside we even had our own sauna!

From Nepal back to India....by plane...with a few hour stopover in Delhi to jump on a sleeper bus to Pushkar. Only a few days this time in stead of 3 months...never enough time but I met up with most of the familiar faces again! Good to be back and see Pushkar lake filled with water again...magical! One week later it is time to jump on an airplane again...back to my home country Holland, meeting family and friends again but also for some serious 'money making' ...
