Once back in Bruges the sky was blue and the sun was shining, creating the perfect opportunity for a simple outdoor lunch while waiting for our 15:00 bus to depart. The bus journey was fairly uneventful as we passed through the flat countryside between Belgium and Holland. We each could not resist the temptation to enjoy a last Belgium ...

We arrived to Damme from Zeebrugge, after a short trip of about 20 minutes in a taxi which we caught on the harbour. The taxi driver left us just in front of the Town Hall (Stadhuis) and was to park the car while we visited the town. There was passed midday and, as we had to lunch, we agreed with him to meet again about 2,1/2 hours after, in the same place. Damme is really a very pretty village, but as small ...
