    ... for lace making, a lovely thing for which to be acknowledged. The art is dying out as it is very expensive to train the artists who make the lacework, but here one an still buy traditional lace wedding gowns, parasols, doilies, dresses, table runners, shawls, whatever is desired. But do not expect to be able to do this in a decade or so unless you want your lace made by machines.

    Woke up to another sunny day ...managed to get the kids moving by 10:30 this time. Breakfast at Prestige Pastierre for waffles (rated #1 spot) but kids say it was disappointing. Eggs were good but all way overpriced.
    Rented our bicycles for the day and headed through the cobbled streets to the outskirts of town looking for a park to get in a work out. Headed out to Damme about was a very pretty ride..big ...

    ... different to other Dutch and French cheeses we have enjoyed. A couple of nice touches were mini hot black puddings like breakfast sausages and a table with champagne and big blocks of dark, milk, and white Belgium chocolate which you cut yourself hunks, I mean shavings off.

    ... it seemed pretty much stuck in the bend under the drawbridge at the time. Everyone was on the bank trying to help direct it out of the pickle.

These men (one women haha) were all gathered around their "leader" who was standing on a platform choreographing and cuing their songs and dances.
