... survive just be bloated for 2 days is all. Kids had treats after -Lindsay got her waffle and ice cream and kids got some gelato. Walk back to the apt for a couple episodes of Arrested Development and off to bed. Checking out ttomoorow and taking a train to Brussels. Updates in a couple days as I don't think we have internet there? Oh yeah did I mention how sore my butt is from that sucks...why do people do this ...

... partial ruins attached dating around 1200. Outside it is a very interesting large statue of a three sided face but no English for me on a sign to work out its significance.

Our third day we hoped on a train and heading to Ghent. It was a bit of a mission from the station to the centre city and we probably should have got a tram but who knows how to use them.

Ghent, like Bruges, is very pretty and has a lot of lovely backdrops all along everywhere you look. It's not yet over run by tourists like Bruges so it was quite nice and quiet, pretty cruisey just walking round checking out the sights. We didn't do too much more really ...

... I pulled straight into a free parking spot. I fed the meter with 4Euro and only had to walk about 100m to the Information Centre.

As a complete contrast to Brussels, Ghent has an excellent Info Centre with free maps in every language, precise and useful guides to walking, boating and other tours and a brilliant audio-visual display of the town's features. Well done Ghent!

... I had my usual two cups of coffee after dinner. The woman ordered Scampi and apologized to me for the heavy garlic odour. I told her I like Italian food, so the garlic certainly wasn’t a problem. Just before I was about to leave, two of the tour group came in and sat at a table in the corner.

After dinner I walked back to the Hotel and asked the Clerk if it was too late to do laundry. He said “no, it’s open 24-hours” so ...
