    ... survive just be bloated for 2 days is all. Kids had treats after -Lindsay got her waffle and ice cream and kids got some gelato. Walk back to the apt for a couple episodes of Arrested Development and off to bed. Checking out ttomoorow and taking a train to Brussels. Updates in a couple days as I don't think we have internet there? Oh yeah did I mention how sore my butt is from cycling...wow that sucks...why do people do this ...

    ... partial ruins attached dating around 1200. Outside it is a very interesting large statue of a three sided face but no English for me on a sign to work out its significance.

    So we went and ate some Chinese food for dinner in the square this evening.. really was a bit dissapointing. It being different is not what would have bothered me.. it just was not very satisfying. I think this kind of mirrored some of our thoughts a little about being here in Belgium today as we are all kind of missing Sunday at home with our families...

Last on our list for the day was the Town Hall which is a fantastic 19th century hall with paintings on the walls detailing Bruges importance as a independent city and trading centre.     ... out. We were facing the rear of the train). I won't say the TGV was disappointing because it is so smooth and efficient, to criticise would be grossly unfair. However, the ride is so smooth you almost lose the sensation of speed, and I concede I LOVE speed. According to Wikipedia, we would have been travelling at 300 kph, which is of the same order as the cars in Bathurst. Sobering thought.
