    ... went to school (they needed to read & write for the priesthood) but for only Nov to March, they purchased these buildings off people when they were due for demolishing & restored on site, great day!

    Astrid works 25 hrs/wk at the Coop (supermarket), Marissa partner Renae is a furniture salesman, son Jody (24) works with disabled children & lives with his partner, Stefan still lives at home but studies at Amsterdam university "earth & economy".

    ... here for lunch and a look around. Weather was perfect today, and we may have even got sunburnt.

    We came back via an inland route, with the best bike roads through fields, across the tops of dykes and under beautiful big trees. It was idylic, and very easy going. Once we hit the city we got lost, and ended up way off track, extending our time on the bike, which by this time we were over. Top speed of about 30k's, no foot rests for me, and quite a hard seat.

    ... yikes. Last week was fantastic. I feel like Adia and I finally clicked and we had so much fun together! We went to Bounz on that Thursday and, following the fashion of my luck, Adia had a great time jumping on the trampoline for a solid hour, only to slip, fall and hurt her foot walking home.     ... s friend and her family over. I very much enjoyed the family, but was for the first time struck by the fact that I did indeed move to a country which spoke a different language than me. Everyone in my host family speaks fluent English, but obviously in everyday conversation they would prefer to speak in their fluent language. So from that point on I decided I would learn as much Dutch as quickly as I could so as not to be left out ...
