    Couldn't sleep as I was worried about catching the train to Groningen with 2 suit cases, imagining all sorts of things, but need not have worried, it was a breeze, well kinda, when trying to sleep your mind seems to play tricks and come up with the most ridiculous thoughts that you wouldn't entertain during day light hours.

    ... It's kinda cool being able to fit in so easily but I feel silly every time I have to shyly ask for them to repeat in English. Most people are very nice about it and English is spoken by just about everyone. As much I would love to say that I have picked up on some Dutch, I haven't one bit. It is such a harsh and difficult language and my throat simply cannot make the noises required for it. I enjoy listening to it ...

    ... probably have missed if I was on my own (like the whole of Groningen) and even better to have conversations about it rather than just having facts thrown at me.  We went from there and walked along the canals talking about living in a kombi (apparently I will get on with his dad) and house boats before going to see a garden that even he hasn't seen before.  I like that about going to see people in their own town.
