Un'BELIZE'able
Tim, Johnny and I flew out of Miami yesterday (Monday, April 4) morning on a direct flight to Belize City. Around, 5 a.m., my phone starts ringing and I am asleep and thinking that it's my alarm clock. Anyway, I didn't recognize the number and I didn't answer. A few minutes later, I hear and see that my parents are calling me. Luckily, my sweet …
Down the Great Blue Hole
Five a.m. came early but for good reason.
Tim, Johnny and I got up and headed over to Big Fish Dive Center to prepare for our day of diving. The 11 of us paying to dive today along with our dive master Miguel, captain Armando and first mate Snake set out on the boat Irene for the two hour ride to our first of three dives of the day.
Go slow
"Go slow" is a common phrase heard around Caye Caulker in Belize. For our third and final day of diving here, Tim, Johnny and I woke up and went to breakfast at Amor Y Cafe before making it over to Big Fish Dive Center around 8:30 a.m. and we were told we were still 20 minutes early.
We got aboard the Tempest this morning for two dives …
Belize
Belize 13th May - 16th May Days 105 - 108 I bussed it down to Belize with Matt for one reason only, to dive the Blue Hole, a 400m diameter circular reef 145m deep. The Blue Hole is renowned as one of the worlds best dive sites, and it didn't disappoint. Just off the coast of Belize, Caye Caulker was our traffic free (except golf carts) island base …
Belize Birthday Boy
Its my party and I'll dive if I want to... Well snorkel actually.
First things first though. Trip from guatemala didn't go smooth like
it was on rails unfortunately. Mostly due to mother nature having a
bit of a tantrum while we were in the jungle. While we saw rain just
as we were finishing up and thought "lucky we …

Nice room with plenty of places to sleep for the whole family

We stayed in room #5. Good central location, nice clean rooms, good hot water, good quiet AC. Hammocks on all the porches and a nice little courtyard for guests with lounges and picnic tables. The bathroom wall is only 3/4 high so "bathroom noises" aren't private but it does allow for a nice cross breeze from the ocean. The owners and their dogs are great. The bed was a bit hard but after the first night you get used to it. I would definitely stay there again.
