... what you weren't meant to do in a thunder storm, pretty sure standing under trees and cycling are on the list. I then set off again, sure it was finished this time but I had only cycled a further 5 minutes and down it came again. This time I was passing through a pretty rough looking estate full of high rise flats and I sheltered under a balcony outside someone's garage. Found the site easily enough even though I had forgotten the address. It was further out of the way than we expected which was nice. ... were on our planned route so that we would hopefully stay on track. What we didn't realize is that we had three ferries to catch. Ferries over around 20-40 meters of water admittedly, but ferries none the less. Our failure to predict these ferries resulted in us getting temporarily lost again.

A very lazy morning of cuppas, breakfast in bed and long showers and a surprise visit from a mobile supermarket! Then an overdue haircut for JB! We wandered into town, stopping on the first bridge to watch the dredging with fascination, then ended up stopping at De Waegh Grand Café for a spot of lunch. We shared a chicken and coconut soup which absolutely blew us away, then I had awesome smoked chicken, ...
