    My feet were balloons, and the heat had caused an itchy sweat rash, that later developed into eczema around my ankles. It was still worth it. They wouldn't fit into my sandals. I slept on the sofa, with no cover because of the heat, and didn't hear everyone coming down stairs ...

    ... and watching on the unpredictable TV together, we biked into Abcoude, to watch the dynamic competition between the two rival teams in a outdoor bar surrounded by a sea of hundreds of loud, tall and orange fans. We couldn't believe that Holland didn't score the entire game, considering their two crossbars, one post and countless other opportunities, however, they won, so it was all good. Biking home at 1:30 in the morning, in the rain only made the experience all the better.
