I got up around 9:30, potentially still inebriated, and checked out of the hostel. I went to get some breakfast before meeting up with a group of au pairs for a Food Truck Festival in North Amsterdam. It was great! All these amazing old vans and things ...

... one side is lower than the other. Poor old Rex didnt notice and stepped into midair and hit the street with a crash. Skinned knee, bruises on both hands and his shoulder. Fortunately no trams around at that moment. He was quite shaken up (as I was too) so we sat on a seat for a wee while to recover. It was almost a relief to find he'd fallen and not fainted or collapsed.

We eventually made it to the markets and as it happened they ...
