... hanging from the middle of the tower. On the east side where we wanted to shoot photos they put up a huge screen to watch the Open. Just lovely. Found a spot anyway until everyone else showed up. Time to leave. Back on the metro to Montparnasse Tower. We had tickets for the 56th floor observation deck we planned on using last night till we both gave out. Between the Eiffel Tower, and this observation floor I'm really hating people ...

... had a lay down (my ankle were so swollen,) and chatted about amazing day. After being up since 1.15am we decided to have an early dinner at the Australian Bar, we sat down and had a drink and our dinner with a lovely Aussie couple, dad the bloke reminded me of you he likes to chat a lot! We talked to Kerry the kiwi barmaid and found out that Friday was Peter the barman's birthday, and that a "dancing girl" had been organised for Thursday night in the pub, so we were definitely going to be back for that!! ... morning, our class took a field trip to the Cité de l'architecture, a museum that houses replicas of various Romanesque and Gothic statues, portals, tympanums, and facades. Tomorrow we go to Notre Dame!
