    ... a decidedly un-PC American Indian theme. In addition to the expected burgers and steaks, one could also order carpaccios and tartares, because I guess the French can't quite accept offering only substandard American fare on their menus. We, however, were happy to order only substandard American fare--it was perfect, and will certainly be what we remember most about our time at this random highway exit outside of Chateauroux.

    ... Racoons, Mantanees, Gorillas, Chimps!!! and the
    Gorilla and Chimps kids were so playful . Really great day..I found
    it rather amusing how excited Ella was to see the Koalas and
    Kangaroos! Although I would say her favourite was the Penguins and
    Meerkats :) We had a lovely night at a Campsite run by a Welsh Couple
    in Obterre. Really lovely restored French Farmhouse and nice chatting
    about their life there.

    ... still very traditional, and has lots of green lanes and hedgerows. We've navigated the quagmire of buying with assistance and advice from lots of people (thank you!). Now we have the keys we have many other things to sort. The buildings appear to be in a good state of repair. The land (one and a half acres) is water saturated at the moment so we'll have to wait to start ...
