We need not have bothered planning a day out as on our first day in Brittany, on a shopping trip to the local Super U, we stumbled across a stash of the flavoured cognac at lower prices that expected. Even though it was just past 10.00 in the morning we sneaked to the checkout clutching ...

So, it seems as though the trains are well used and if there were a few more of them could be even better patronised overall but a casual glimpse at the timetable shows all sorts of gaps in services that must make planning your day fairly hard going whether you are trying to commute to or from work or fancy a leisure trip elsewhere.

Our first super long train ride of the trip. The ride from Paris to Nantes seemed to take more time than physically possible. Once in Nantes we had a layover before our next train ride and were able to explore a absolutely gorgeous park. You can look at the photos and let your imagination fill in the rest.
