... getting to the place - one woman threatened to throw out her sat nav after taking the wrong turn numerous times. The rain continued and as the camp site only offered sites under oak trees we had a few very noisy nights with water dripping, acorns and oak apples falling on the caravan and a stream running underneath it we decided to move on.

Porto, Northern Portugal, Portugal donwen... spots in the beautiful weather and sampling the local delicacies. The speciality here is the Francesinha and there a particular street where they come highly recommended. Always keen to try the local delicacies, I opted for one one lunchtime and Virg sensibly went for a salad. So what's a Francesinha? I was starving so opted for the "Special" which was described by the girl in the bar as "with chips" and waited with a beer for it to arrive.

... port wine tasting for a couple of hours including a tour of one company. They explain the process of making port and then you get to have a taste of a couple. Others you have to pay to taste.
So, all in all, it´s been great. We´d love to come back again but there´s Sicily, Croatia, Prague, Turkey, S/west India all in the queue.
Cheers

Guess this is the wind down point after two months on the road before I headed back to Ye Olde London town which is probably why I haven't much to report. With a little over a week in Portugal I doubt I did the country justice and only touched the surface. I hit the little hostel which was new and a little inexperienced at it as they had quality ...
Porto, Northern Portugal, Portugal ddoumani... if I had remembered to pack some form of electronic entertainment. Guimaraes is a World Heritage listed town and is full of beautiful old buildings, mainly churches but also some medieval castles and towers. We strolled around the town, choosing a charming restaurant called Santiago for lunch. Guimaraes also has a cable car that takes you to the park called Penha at the top of the mountain overlooking the town. We looked at our town map and headed off for the 20 ...
Guimarães, Portugal guykb... poolt tehtud sild, mis meenutas paljuski Eiffeli torni. Arusaadav :) Laevasõit maksis vist 10€/in ja kestis pea tund aega.
