Cloudy and somewhat rainy day so it was good timing to visit the Liberation Museum where the allies invaded northern and western Holland in February 1944 called Operation market garden. It lasted until the fall of 1944 and many lives were lost, mostly from the paratroopers. We "lounged" in the afternoon as the day was not good for ...

Tomorrow our destination is ...

... not everyone in the Netherlands walks around in clogs all day - after 5 days, we didn't see a single person wearing clogs! Shame! It's not like in Australia where we all walk around with big hats with corks hanging off them and really large knives!!! I hope nobody is expecting to see our collection of amazing souvenirs from the Netherlands, we completely forgot to go shopping! Probably a good thing, I think Susan would ride too slowly if I put a windmill on the back of her ...

... John quickly cleaned some dirty rain water marks off the hull and they arrived early to put us in! We were back in the water at 9.30 with John on board so he could check his fittings and all OK – no leaks thank goodness. The engine would not start as the batteries were flat again. We think our charger is telling us “porky pies” as it is saying they are full but obviously they are not. We had 1 hour to sort it before having to get ...
