Today we ventured to Mont Saint Michel. The weather left a lot to be desired but at least it wasn't raining or too cold while we were there. The view as you approach is amazing. You have to park a fair ways away, but they have a free shuttle service to take you there. The actual causeway area is getting redone so it's looks dreadful which detracts from your initial close up of the island. Once you're past that thought it is beautiful. We were staying just back across the water, in what was billed as a 5* hotel. My eye. More like a motel. Dreadful room, terrible food.My advice would be to drive up, take a photo, and stay elsewhere-wish we´d done that.
... le parking payant (12euros). Si ça ne vous dérange pas de marcher un peu, environ 30min, vous pouvez vous garez un peu plus à l'est et marcher. Il y a un chemin avec vue imprenable sur le Mont.
Bon par contre, ça ne vaut pas le coup d'économiser 9euros pour ne pas voir l'abbaye. Si vous ratez ça vous ratez les trois quart du Mont. L'intérieut est trés intéressant et on peut voir comment l'abbaye a été construite par étapes.
