    We had to get on the road by 10am this morning for a couple of reasons. We wanted enough time to see Dali's home town of Figueres, wait for Barcelona's traffic to ease and make it to our next stop back in France at Collioure.     ... a very high crime rate. Our hosts would never leave their house unoccupied which meant that one member of their family would always be at home for fear of a break in. They were unable to leave any tools out overnight as they would be stolen and felt the need to have guard dogs as a deterrent. So many brits apparently sell up and move to Spain without knowing about these facts and have a huge shock when they find out, we were more than happy to leave all of that behind.
