Short Week Number 2 [Days 75, 76, & 77]

Early Mornings, Explorations, & Evening Fun[Day 3]

Next was the alcohol and drug information session, with Robbert and Johnny. Mostly a boring powerpoint with repetitive information, but they wanted to hear about what drug education was like in the states (we brought up D.A.R.E. haha), and they basically told us they wanted us to learn how to be responsible - Robbert called the Dutch way ...

... in the hotel here, water on the table is 2 euros extra, but I would say the house wine at 3.50 is very good value.
The cruise boats are very long and low, something of an essential given the lack of clearance under the 200+ bridges in Amsterdam. Just watching them turn 90 degree corners in the length of the boat is fascinating, especially when some artistic character puts his boat right in the turn space. How to win friends…

Hup Holland Hup!!
... how a developed country really works hard and party hard. I will write a special entry on my insights and reflections on this amazing program. Organization of this kind of action program is not that easy. Cosmas too admitted this. Marloes, Germaine, Ilse, Annick, Taco, Jeroen, Willemijn, Jonne, Mariska and Karin did this very professionally. I saw leadership of Cosmas. SharePeople Ambassadors too contributed to this. It was a wonderful team work.

Week 1
... native English speakers living in this resident area...the other of whom I have not met. Well...city trip, I saw a guy in the group that had a UW-Whitewater shirt on and got excited. I asked him if he went there...he said yes...and I said I went to stout and thought that was pretty cool. He didn't reply. I felt a bit foolish. Oh well. Turns out there are three of them from whitewater. I think there may be only 4 Americans total here. I think we are all from MN and WI. Funny ...
