It was like stepping back in time, not like Zaanse Schans being set up for tourists, Edam really did have an old world charm about it. Just sent conformation to my travelagent for the whole trip. Last minute change was a change of airline. Hans had selected a flight with Emirates for me, but it had a four hour overlay in Dubai. Instead I chose for Cathay Pacific, which is a bit more expensive but only has a two hour overlay in Hong Kong. Also both the to- and from-flights are shorter ...

The next installment will cover our two days spent in Amsterdam, 30 minutes by silent high speed double decker train from Leiden. The buses and trains are so efficient and plentiful here that it was not worth hiring a car.

... back to BW Campers and went into Amsterdam for another delightful day of walking about and the Rijksmuseum with its huge collection of Dutch masters.
When we returned to BW Campers in the afternoon, we discovered they had done nothing, as I had accidentally taken the keys! Actually, I had planned to leave them on the front seat, but took them to lock up my bike. Stupid!
So, another night and day in Amsterdam... ...

... we were looking at yesterday were a Friesland breed and very valuable, we were assured that the farmer would have expended every effort to rescue his horse! Later in the afternoon, I walked over to check on them and all were present and correct, some eating and some going in for the mutual grooming that horses do.

No book was delivered today, so the decision to stay was the right one. In terms of the fridge, it only used 7 amps overnight ...
