... to be discharged to the sea. Unfortunately the weather today was quite cold and windy, but it was still worthwhile to see it. On top of the dike is a four lane highway connecting two provinces, with vast amounts of water on either as you get to the middle of the trip, water is pretty much all you would see. We travelled a few kilometres along the dike and stopped where a few memorials where placed in recognition of those that helped in construction. Also ...

... hook ups but generally have used the generator for a couple of hours every few days.

The 240v fridge runs off an inverter and has been faultless. The solar panel provides some back up to the vehicle batteries.

The Kindle until now has provided free internet for most of the journey but they have now capped it to 50mb per month, so I certainly had the best from it.

I think thats all the techi bits!

The next installment will cover our two days spent in Amsterdam, 30 minutes by silent high speed double decker train from Leiden. The buses and trains are so efficient and plentiful here that it was not worth hiring a car.

... we were looking at yesterday were a Friesland breed and very valuable, we were assured that the farmer would have expended every effort to rescue his horse! Later in the afternoon, I walked over to check on them and all were present and correct, some eating and some going in for the mutual grooming that horses do.

No book was delivered today, so the decision to stay was the right one. In terms of the fridge, it only used 7 amps overnight ...
