The journey
Opa came to pick us up at 07:30. The
train journey to Schiphol was uneventful, the train arrived exactly
on time so no cause for stress there. My worries from the last blog
about checking in with Qatar Airways proved to be unfounded. Our
baggage was checked in at Schiphol and labelled to our end
destination: Denpasar. That's the last time we saw it for 29 hours
(and, yes, it all arrived in one piece at our destination).

Well, it's just before 4:30 am here and I am (not very wide) awake. True to form preceding any seriously travelling, I woke at 3am and watched the clock slowly turn. I love travelling but this is the only aspect I loathe: a 42 yr old man behaving like an excited 5 year old on Christmas morning.

Yikes! Time to reassemble the bikes!
... in "Schengen Quandry", we lengthened our Scottish stay, so we now had only 45 hours in which to reassemble the bikes and repack our bags in Ede before our departure for Scotland.
