... We tried to slip him 5 Euro but he would not take it he said it was part of his job. The apartment had everything all modern appliances really fit for a king. What else would we expect!!

We settled in and then went for a stroll around the city and decided we would make use of the appliances in the apartment and go to the supermarket and buy some provisions for dinner. We decided on a roast chicken, salad, cheese, olives and some bread and of course Magnums ...

While Jess had said that Bruges was better than Brussels, I will be travelling through Bruges on the way to Calais tomorrow so I decided to stick with the plan and visit Brussels. The weather was looking a little dodgy, so I set off just after 9 and after a quick stop for petrol I was on my way, quite enjoying this Robert Ludlum book. ... not a good situation to be in.

We reached our hotel and made a game plan for the next 48 hours. We were all so scared. However, the next day the anxiety toned down a little and we headed to Brussels--Central for a day in the city. I can atleast say that the city was gorgeous! We visited churches and monuments. We also toured a Belgium brewery and ate Belgium waffles! It was a wonderful day and we were all happy again.

The next stop...Brugge.
