1 Avenue Thiers Nice, French Riviera - Cote d'Azur, Provence, France, 06000
Bonjour! We're currently in Nice. We arrived here yesterday evening after a long day of traveling. We had originally planned to come straight here from Florence, but we decided at the last minute to stop in Cinque Terre, located on the coast of Italy. I took a day trip there when I studied abroad in Florence and really wanted Nina to see it. After finally getting our act together on Tuesday morning, we made it to the train station in Florence and hopped on a train to La Spezia (where you have...

... or as they say, American) style gaming.
I had a relaxing time. Bit of shopping, eating, drinking and walking around just admiring the wealthy end of the world. It is expensive tho. Meals and drinks are way over-priced (about $17 aussie for a Johnny Walker & coke!). You even have to pay to use the toilet at the shopping centre and main tourist areas. I won some money at the main casino, then lost it (and some more) at the hotel ...
... the most beautiful boats in the world are in MonteCarlo...
Language is more interesting in france. If we try to do the simple tourist things then most people can work out what is going on but when we try something else eg. going to the doctor (sue has been sick) going to a chemist.. or finding a Laundamatt.. then the language thiig is a bit more animated....
have some grat pics of Nice and French Rivierra to show when we get home...
... Monday’ by the Bangles at the airport. Too true...
12hrs after i checked out of my Barcelona hotel, i am in Monte Carlo!!!!! Luckily got the last bus from the Nice airport to Monaco. Amazing bus trip here. I think i was wide-eyed and jaw dropped for much of it. Although it is night, you can see some amazing views, yachts and cross some bridges with HUGE drop-offs down into the coastal valley. The streets truly are Grand Prix style. Can't wait to ...
POLSKI:
Pociag do Monte Carlo, w obie strony, kosztowal mnie cale 5 Euro, a jazda trwala 15-20 minut. Widoki sliczne, ale najlepsza byla jednak Starowka Monte Carlo oraz samochody ...

... lunch and supper...it was right across the street from our hostel, and considering our hostels cooking facilities included a microwave and non microwavable plastic plates, it was our only choice hahaha: but i love Subway. That night we checked out the club checkpoint, which is where i was when i found out about MJ dying...sad. Wed already been predrinking a bunch of beer and a bottle of wine tho so I only made it halfway thru my bloody mary, which by the way are ...

It took me another hour to find the Toll road, but once on it I surveyed a couple of service areas, found myself in Italy a day ahead of schedule, in the dark on a poorly lit motorway. I did find my services, which was crawling with cats, big soppy truckers were seen to be feeding them tins of cat food. I spent the night on the back seat in my sleeping bag all locked up in my car. It seems that my journeys across borders are the worse ones.
Nice, France laineebee... to carry everything up these rocks. Some of these hikes are rough with a camera bag, I couldn't imagine carrying a big bag of flour or a day's worth of water. (I just read that statement back to myself, and I thought, "Ha, what a spoiled American!") Monaco is an extremely tourist-oriented district, but it wasn't really crowded or something I would call a tourist trap. The view again was oustanding, it being atop of rock on the coastline ...
