Close to everything. Shower is the tiniest shower known to mankind tho. Beds are comfy tho.

Nice has been fun and beautiful. Though we arrived to a complete downpour. Apparently it is sunny 300 days of the year and somewhere we got here on one of the 65 days that it does rain. Though it was beautiful. Had a lovely dinner at a local restaurant. And then headed to the clubs. Awesome live music but it was so fricken hot. Topdeck tours …

... to the hotel. We picked up a baguette, a small round of goat cheese, and some deli meats, plus something to wash it all down with. Not only is the beer and wine quite cheap here, so is bread (the baguette was 0.55 euro) and cheese (about two-thirds the price of back home--the numbers are about half but in euros instead of dollars). We ate a bit, we napped a bit, we packed a bit, and watched the final episode of the final season ...

... to Pont Saint Jean, but when I got there and realized the beach was going to be quite a walk, I decided to continue along the bus route to Villefranche. What seemed to be just a few more bus stops was actually quite a walk… and uphill. This of course meant that I had to go down a zillion stairs to get to the beach.
