We have spent the last two days exploring Nice. It is one of the three cities that make up the French Riviera (other two are Cannes and St Tropez) it has been nice to have some warm weather finally. On Thursday night we went out for dinner at a local restaurant and then went out to a bar where an awesome band was playing. Everyone was literally …

‘5 minutes’, I thought. That’s not too bad. However, at the end of the announcement the crowd groaned in unison. And it wasn’t a good groan!! I know what a good groan sounds like and that definitely was a bad groan!! That said, the train did in fact start pulling out of the station 5 minutes after that announcement. It must just be the impatience of the French!!!

Derek had a salad to die for... baked cheese and ham and pine nuts on top, and Megan had a crepe with chicken, cheese and mushrooms. And we had a bottle of rose. Plus dessert of delicious ice cream sundaes!! We then started talking to the British couple beside us and ended up in a conversation for an hour or so before we made our way to consume ANOTHER bottle of wine atop the bridge overlooking the ...
