    ... busy making hay and growing potatoes, maize and wheat. These farmers can certainly farm well. At a small village we stopped for coffee and in the restaurant came across some posters showing the fish species that are caught in the region.     ... we stopped off at a small village to buy some essentials such as alcohol and food. Once again one can only remark on the friendliness and helpfulness of the Dutch.

    On arrival in Lauwversoog we noticed on our GPS that the elevation was sitting at -12 meters. We were actually 12 meters below sea level!!!!! Camping with a snorkel close at hand seemed a good idea.

    In the morning we were greeted with overcast and coldish weather but decided to be positive and put on a T shirt and a light jacket and tempt the weather to do its worst.
