... I met with a friend that I had met on my first day in Berlin .. who just HAPPENED to have a guitalele (?!?!!). We visited Hackescher Markt and played in a park for a while. Ive always wanted to busk in a European city and he suggested we go to Warschauer station because thats where most buskers play. We finally found a tunnel off of the street where no one was sitting, and ended up jamming with some musicians from Berlin. Pretty cool, right?! (?!?!?!) ...

So, day 2 and the weather has again been great, a little cooler and hazier than yesterday but still blue skies above us most of the way. As the name of this leg sounds, the main part of the day was spent crossing from northern holland into Freisland in the north east across a large body of water on a 32km (we know because we measured it) dyke built by some guy called Lely to link the two peninsulas. Along with an actual museum (with its warm cup of coffee) there are a collection of gift shops.  The only drawback here were the flood of tour buses constantly arriving. We did our best to avoid the crowds, but this certainly wasn't as calm and quiet as Kinderdijk.
