47 kms.... AM - Oswiecim, never heard of it? Nor had I but we know it better as Auschwitz, the worst Nazi death camp of the Second World War. Oswiecim is the Polish name for Auschwitz, we are staying 5 kms out in the Hotel Galicja, a Spa & Wellness Hotel! Nearby is Birkenau (Brzezinka), also a Nazi death camp.
