    And it looks like the vintage car lot are strong here too.

    And there's a young girl in a longish dress and cloak holding a posie! Charming!

    And there's someone with a clapperboard and another with a walkie talkie -- and closed street signs!

    Hang on! We're in the middle of another bloody film shoot!

    It's all a bit confusing.

    ... noticed her when she pushed in front of me but I also admired her rather lovely peach-coloured cashmere cardigan – very much in keeping with the spring festivities.

    It turns out that she belongs to the Women’s Institute and when she found out I’d just moved here and wasn’t 'just a tourist’, she became very keen for me to join.

    VERY keen.

    ... Andrews and thus the Scottish flag. And thence to the nearby little Museum / Gallery precinct, which was lovely: several smallish spaces for specific exhibitions as well as the larger Art Gallery (with rather grotty stuff, I have to say) and… to my amazement, a Jacquard Loom. This is one of those iconic things which I was very excited to see: they were Industrial Revolution machines designed to weave patterns into ribbons, and the patterns were programmable ...

    ... dovolena skoncila. Meli jsme velmi rychly a hladky prejezd vlakem tunelem pod kanalem a Kibblova prvni pasova kontrola probehla velmi dobre. Jeli jsme vlakem o 2 hodiny pred tim, ktery jsme meli zamluveny. Bohuzel ty 2 hodiny jsme pak ztratili kolem Londyna, protoze jsme se snazili vyhnout nehode na dalnici M25. Takze do Coventry jsme dorazili ve 3 odpoledne a konecne cislo na pocitaci kilometru byl 4270 mil (asi 6830 km).
