        After a quiet afternoon of browsing downtown Jakarta and chilling at the hotel (our lack of sleep catching up by this point), we had a wander around the supposedly traveller friendly area of Jalan Jaksa. Sadly, there was nothing of note happening at all so we scratched the idea of spending some quality time with other westerners there and headed home...

        ... Cathedral. There was supposed to be a free city tour bus at certain stops and I waited over an hour but it never came.

        On my way back, I got a transjakarta bus to Gambir station. I had to use someone elses card to buy the ticket. The card had 20k IDR and it cost 40k IDR. I didn't see the point in buying it as it was my last day. From Gambir station, I had to walk around 5 minutes to get on the ...

        ... jaunty Austrians helped save me. I spent the rest of the day with them and they were pretty funny, in their sarcastic way.

        They took me to a park, that we all agreed was no good. Then to the national monument, that we all agreed was monumental. Then to the mall, where I finally got a mosquito net, and we parted ways. Them, for their hotel with pool and me, for Chinatown, where I found a nice little temple and then went home.

        ... here. There are KFC's everywhere, starbucks, McD's and even A&W/s, but no mexican. Laila said she knew a place called Amigo's in Jakarta. We were pretty hot and hungry so we gave up on public transportation and took a taxi. Traffic was rather busy, as usual, so it still took awhile but after about 45 min and driving past many malls, we arrived at ours.
