... br> Well the party was loud, but the music was OK. Firecrackers were the order of the evening, around 11:30 it sounded like continuous back firing of all the cars on the road. The fun really started at 2AM when we tried to get a taxi to the airport. All radio contactable taxis were on holiday. At 2:30 I went out onto the street and "caught" us a taxi. Got to the airport at about 3:30. All good - note to self, dont travel on New Years day.

... over an hour but eventually got the right boat and made our way back. We admired the talent of the captain as he stopped the boat to pick up passengers along the canal, expertly manoeuvering it alongside rickety docks for lightning fast transfers of people and then immediately on to the next stop.

... Jules is still a boy, a grown up boy.
As well food wise we had a much wider view than the last couple of months. Leszanos cooked pasta, a home made WOK, Parilla, home made Empanadas or Pizza. We played the ball back by cooking desserts Pavola, Argovian apple cake, Chraebeli and apple tart – eventhough I was not that easy to get this happen with a gas stove without a recent temperature display… but the feedback was good.

... So, up until today, I've just watched beautiful Argentinians gallop around on horses and shout at each other. But polo and I are a natural fit. I love galloping and I love shouting. Ideal.

Mom and I went with a group called Argentina Polo Day to the El Camino polo club in Pilar, which is just outside of Buenos Aires. The morning started with a glass of red wine and some empanadas (it was like 11.55, nearly noon, I swear), and a friendly skirmish ...
