... railtracks running above the city. We were greeted by lots of shouts of congratulations from strangers on the street, which was very nice of them, if a little odd. By the time we reached the High Line, Jayna's feet were somewhat shredded by the new wedding shoes and so these were abandoned in favour of sandals, and later, bare feet. We bid Agaton a fond farewell, took a few photos of our own, and went for what was technically our wedding breakfast in a cafe ...

... staying on Wall Street. It should only have taken 5 minutes not an hour!!

Never mind though, we were on the bus to Washington DC at last - a new city - somewhere neither of us had ever been before. Bye bye New York. We had a great time here this time and met some really nice people. We were really struck by the kindness and helpfulness of almost everyone we met which was the exact opposite of previous stays here.

We might just go back again after all!

... We went to a 4D movie, and it was unique and interesting. After the zoo, we ate and then climbed some very large rocks within the park. My brother and I counted dogs, we saw a total of 18 dogs in the park today! Central Park is a great park, especially since it actually was a park. You see, many of the "parks" in NYC were simply large areas of concrete and about 30 small trees in 2ft squares. The point is, NYC parks seriously lacked in the flora and fauna department, but not in ...

... was $38.00. The toll collector must have been a Chinaman in disguise. The thing that really irked us was that the roads directly following this outrageous charge were the worst we have been on in all of our travels. The State of New Jersey really needs to put some of the millions it must collect each week into maintenance of these major routes. In all to get from Washington DC to the other side of New Jersey/New York City cost us $97.00 in ...

... time of the changing of the guard - it is guarded 24 hours a day 265 days a year. Quite impressive really.

I walked back over the bridge into Washington (I had technically walked to another state - cool huh?) and headed for a couple of wildlife photography exhibitions in the natural history museum. There was some amazing photography here and it made me a little green eyed. Purely for a great moment captured, I think my favourite might be the kangaroo who looks as ...
