        ... road construction 'slow downs' with single lanes for miles. Probably the 'worst' travel day of the trip in terms of both construction and truck traffic.

        1:12 PM - Ohio.

        3:40 PM - Columbus, Ohio.

        5:40 PM - Wheeling, WV.

        5:50 PM - Greeted by our home state of Pennsylvania with road construction & orange barrels!

        ... I have always had a mental image of being lowered down through the forward hatch of a sub by several sets of hands. I think this is a memory from when I was a little kid visiting my dad on board, but I am not really sure. Looking at one of the hatches going down through the forward deck brought the memory back, and it looks just as I 'remembered' it.         We took the interstate to Washington and turned onto Chestnut Road. From there, Vance Station Road (bearing right to continue onto Vance Station) and then onto KOA road and into the campground.
