It was sunny with puffy clouds and 54F when I left at 9:15. The rivers were swollen from all the rain and water lay in many fields. The cotton crops looked short but ready to be harvested. Lots of traffic for a Sunday, and a holiday weekend too!

Headed off from Hurricane Mills this morning along a much more sedate I-40 to Nashville. We rolled in to town about 12 noon and followed the signs to the Visitors's Centre, which fortuitiously happened to be located in the main strip of town where all the bars are!!! Woot!

At about 12.30 pm we schlepped across the road from the visitor's centre to a bar called Layla's Bluegrass Inn, which we finally schlepped out of at 4 pm!!! It was GREAT!!!! They ...

... this trip, everyday so far has been a new place and a new great experience, it is really good to have a new experience with a old friend.

Today's a new day and we have to move on, were only one state away from the east coast! Can you believe that we have been gone for one month today? Our trip is unofficially half over. It's kind of hard to believe it has been that long ...
