I had made many a trips to Big Bear during the snowboarding season being that it is really the only place you can do a day trip from Vegas. However a few times we got the luxury of having a place to crash for the night. Only Teresa and I would somehow manage to be able to make a crash pad out of Oscar de la Hoyas Big Bear cabin and training compound. The two of us and usually 15 or so of the worlds best fighters under one roof..... we consider ourselves very lucky ladies :)

Dropped our loaded trailer at the Fontana Werner terminal. Found a truck stop and had a shower, apparently they don't really care if drivers smell or not because the charged $9.75 for the shower, and I couldn't get any hot water, but am cleaner. Picked up our load for Walmart, looks like fruit. oranges, lemons, grapefruit and stuff..We are taking it to Sterling Illinois.

Well, 1530 this afternoon finished the 2nd day of orientation. No glitches. All Went well, the two days consisted of filling out paperwork, watching movies, going through the CBT training terminals and completing 6 or more different training programs. ex. safety meetings, 2 quarters, sexual harrasment, new ...

The evening was spent with our host families, another great day on this adventure, and it's wonderful having time with our new friends.

... we took a train, called Metrolink, to Los Angeles. Diego decided to take also a Metrolink from LA to Oceanside near San Diego, and from there a cab to San Diego. We bought the tickets in the machine and then we discovered that the Metrolink to Oceanside does not run on Sundays (and guess what day of a week it was?). ... were times when I would reside with friends for a week or two, or when, seriously pushing a film for an Academy Award, we would rent a motel apartment complete with cooking utensils, rent a car and seriously sit and work promoting a Macedonian film for an Oscar. And then, of course, there were times when I would rent a long-term apartment ...

... crazy women with muscles where they shouldn't be, dudes breakdancing, old men set up with Gheto blasters and dancing on roller blades..hehe. Along the boulevard there is an incredible market selling all sorts of things, even guys making artwork on the pavement out of coins...anyway to get a dollar. lots of brazillan art as well.
