Despite a promising forecast, the morning dawned cloudy and it looked as if it would become more overcast as the day progressed. ... a flight of 2:45 hrs, the towered airport gave us directions to our parking place to the side of one of the FBOs. Meeting Mike the manager and his son Parker inside their hangar, Patrick was soon whisked off to get a hire car while I went to work to ready the 'plane for tying down, something normally completed together. Mostly a travel day today ending in Owensboro, KY Lots of time in the car but with good company.... And an onboard DVD player the drive was a pleasant one. Tomorrow we get deeper into the South and our days get busier for awhile. Drove 320 miles from Columbia, MO to Santa Claus, Indiana. As we were driving through St. Louis, we stopped at the Arch, which was right near the St. Louis Cardinals baseball stadium.
