Letter: The letter to dad is David telling his father how much he misses him and wants him back. This piece represents the pain and suffering that David went through while his father was away. This is significant to the story because, David his on his own trying to fight his own battles because his father is not home, and his brothers don’t aknoldge him when he is around. I developed his piece because, it shows the relationship with David ...

Dave had a voice that carried further than most children's when he was a child and had the unfortunate luck of getting caught every time he did something wrong. Mother began by disciplining David in ways other mothers might, by putting him in a corner of his bedroom, making him clean until dusk, stabbed ...
... pull off in Wauseon. ******, overpiced motel with rude Indian guy at check in, ****** take away food. I'm probably being unkind and the town *might* have something going for it, but I'm guessing its biggest trade comes from vistitors seeking refuge from the rain! It felt good to be farm country again as I went through Indiana. I have seen so much corn on this trip. The toll for the Indiana Expressway was $6.50. I was stunned. I will be spending the night in Toledo, Ohio in a cool, green lovely part of town, West of downtown I think. There is the nicest cool, fragrant breeze. Ahhh!

July 28, 2009 - Santiago to Madrid:
Renfe’s train hotel (or night train) was definitely the best way to stretch our time on the Camino by a day and we also saved Euro’s by not having to book a hotel room in Madrid prior to our flight. We boarded at 10:30 pm and quickly found our assigned compartment with two sets of bunk beds, a small sink, a complimentary toothbrush/paste ...

(It wasn't until I lived out in this area that I heard about those earlier riots in the late forties when whites viciously attacked the blacks and the cops just turned their heads.) Over the course of these trips and spending a good bit of time in major cities, including Detroit ...
