... look for the one thing you wouldn't think it is cuz nothing about us is normal". Even though he still has bronchitis/pneumonia (depending on which doctor is there), that's not what was causing his problem (low oxygenation of his blood). The third one finally nailed it down (cross your fingers) to an encapsulated infection between his lung and rib cage. He seems to be a little better this morning ...
Crowley, Louisiana, United States oscarsadventure... and it was amazing to see the elaborate costumes, jewelry and masks. Outside we watched a few street musicians, but as the girls were pretty tired from our busy days, we decided to hit the road.
This afternoon they spent hours relaxing in the pool in our Cajun/Creole country hotel. Tonight we're off to an authentic Cajun restaurant. We'll see how adventurous they are!

... all of them sat way back from the road, and had neatly mowed, very green grass all around them. There were a few pastures with cows, almost no horses, a few sheep and goats. About 7 pm. I finally reached Opelousas, and found a restaurant where I could experience crawfish (crawdads) etouffe; it's stewed small crayfish tails in a thick spicy sauce served over white steamed rice, and it's very rich and very good, slightly spicy hot. The crayfish remind me of baby shrimp ...
Lafayette, Louisiana, United States sglaude... the heart with pride to be a part of a species that has the capacity for such love. La Fayette has weekly events that are, if nothing else, just an excuse to get together and have a great time with good friends and family. The music is good, there's an abundance of spirits, and everybody is just happy to be there and alive at that moment, and it happens weekly. It was inspiring for me to attend one of these weekly ...
Lafayette, Louisiana, United States sirsmonkey42...
Lafayette, Louisiana, United States sglaude... had a pool and hot tub, which many of us enjoyed. Claudia fixed a Cajun dinner with shrimp, andoulie sausage, potato salad, fresh bread, green salad, cottage cheese, and brandied apple crisp. I was worried about cross-contamination of foods, but Claudia assured me she had been very careful. I fixed a plate but decided it would be safer to eat dinner in my room. Happy Easter to all my family and friends. May the peace of the Lord be with you.
