... We stopped at Pilot for fuel - $121.78 at $3.799/gal. After driving 330 miles, we finally reached Gila Bend. We stayed at Augie's Quail Trail RV Park for $28.00/night. Movie Watched: (none) Highlights: - nice breakfast in the hotel (partly comp'd) - nice drive along Pecos River in town (sadly didn't notice it the night before) - my N.P. annual pass worked to pay for cavern tour - very cool self-guided tour of Carlsbad Caverns - meeting construction flag man and giving him a soda - nice information desk at Guadalupe Mountains N.P. - very cool Frijole Ranch where we enjoyed lunch by Kendra - another great dune sledding outing at White Sands ...
