The Aussie was with us but then we lost him, thinking that he had gone for fuel.

We went to Wezzy's Roadhouse in Hamel for lunch which was interesting.

We all had a fantastic ride today through the cornfields and sheltered tree lined roads. In fact, we were all a bit sad when we had to get onto the motorway to cover some of the inaccessible areas of Route 66.

Once we were back on the ride we stopped at Cuba ...

... to have a quick nose bag. We all attended the Road Captains, Ass't Road Captains and Tail gunners brief and were introduced to their opposite numbers in the other groups. All said that they were pleased that we had been selected to fill these positions. After that, and the main brief, we started the ride at 08:00... to Rolla via Effingham.

... Edgar Springs. Its only another half hour away...

We arrive at the campground just on dark but have enough light to hook up the power and water and like the pro's we are now, it only took about 5 minutes.

Although Houston, we do have a problem. We have had the side of the RV out several times now but Malcolm has not. He goes to put the side out and I can see the bottom trying to slide out and the top is staying put. Then there is an almighty bang. ...
